BERNOULIS THEOREM APPARATUS

DESCRIPTION -:
The apparatus consists of rectangular transparent flow section connecting two tanks, the section can be easily removed or connected to two tanks. It converges for a small length & diverges for the remaining length. Flow can be controlled by a gate valve. Pizometers connected to flow section, make it possible to measure pressure heads & give visual observations of hydraulic gradient

Specifications :-

1) Tanks : 2 numbers of suitable size mounted on stand.
2) Flow channel of 90 cm length made out of perspex sheets.
3) Prizometer tubes equispaced at 5 cm
4) Measuring tank of 100 lit. cap.
5) Stop clock
6) Prizometer tubes equispaced at 5 cm
7) Measuring tank of 100 lit. cap.
8) Stop clock

RANGE OF EXPERIMENTS -:

1) Bernoulli’s theorem for the flow of real liquid can be verified.
2) Hydraulic grade line & the total energy line along the flow section can be plotted & can be studied.

SERVICE REQUIRED -:

1) Suitable water supply arrangement. 0.5 to 3 L.P.S.
2) Suitable drainage arrangement.
